The U15 freestyle moguls team braved the elements to open the competition season at Rocky Mountain Freestyle's first Rocky Qualifier Series (RQS) competition of the season in Vail, Colorado on January 14.

The SSWSC U16 alpine traveled to Breckenridge for two Sync super-g Races and two giant slalom races this past Tuesday and Wednesday, January 3 and 4, 2024. The super-g races were fantastic, and the athletes had a lot of fun racing down the Cimarron race trail. The athletes displayed real grit, racing hard and fast in the cold weather.

The 2024 U.S. Cross Country Nationals were held last week at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, Utah, January 2-7, 2024. Soldier Hollow is the site of many major cross country and biathlon including the 2002 Winter Olympics. Henry Magill and alumni Trey Jones qualify for international events.

The U14 alpine team had a fun first race on home soil at Steamboat Ski Resort. Soren Shepherd and Lucille Dietrich both took home gold medals in the races.

SSWSC hosted the first Rocky Mountain Freestyle Competition at Steamboat last weekend, January 6-7, 2024. SSWSC women swept the U19 women’s podium, with McLarnon, Ayad, and Satkiewicz taking the top spots in the singles event.
