Mini Cruisers, ages 4-5

This is an introductory, entry-level cross country skiing program where cross country skiing skills, games, and skiing adventures are introduced in a fun and supportive environment. Young skiers learn the basics of classic skiing technique, with a focus on fundamentals and fun. The program is 10 weeks long, and all sessions meet at Howelsen Hill. No experience is necessary.

Requirements
  • Equipment: Participants will need no-wax classic cross country skis, boots, and poles. Low-cost equipment rentals for this program are available through the Steamboat Ski Touring Center. Touring Center Season Rentals will be available starting in July. Supplies go quickly, so order early!
  • Skill requirement: No experience required.
  • Passes: Youth Nordic Season Pass to Howelsen Hill required (pass is free for kids four years and younger).
  • Age: 4-5 (AGE GROUP GUIDELINES)
