Snowboard

Snowboard All-Mountain Program (AMP), grades 8-12

AMP (All Mountain Program) is designed for skiers and riders who want to continue improving their skiing skills all over the mountain without a competition focus. This group focuses on the development of snowboarding fundamentals. Athletes will work on skill development across the entire mountain including the terrain parks, halfpipe, big mountain, and backcountry education. This program is a non-competitive skill development program focused on creating a team environment to promote technical growth.

This program does not require a skier schedule to leave school early and athletes will have the opportunity to train with our other snowboard teams on weekends at Steamboat Resort, along with their own team training weeknights at Steamboat Resort.

  • Minimum riding requirement:  Ability to comfortably link turns on blue terrain and a desire to develop their riding ability
  • Equipment requirements: Participants need snowboard equipment, and a helmet. An all terrain board is recommended.
  • Season pass information: Passes to Steamboat Ski Resort required
  • There will not be preseason dryland training. Training will start on snow on Thursday, December 8.

Pre-season Water Ramp/Tramp BBQ - October 7
If your athlete is not participating in other fall sports and wants a preseason training routine, check out our additional Senior Snowboard Fall Dryland for additional preseason training and time in the gym.
