All-Mountain Program (AMP), grades 9-12

Open to grades 9-12 (5th-8th graders check out the RAD program)

This non-competitive program is designed for high school skiers and snowboarders that want to continue their improvement in a fun and social ski club environment. Athletes will work on all mountain freeski development, including the terrain parks, halfpipe, big mountain, groomers, and trees while continuing to cultivate a lifelong passion for the sport. This program focuses on skill development in a team environment to promote technical improvement as well as team camaraderie.

Requirements
  • Skill requirement: Comfortable parallel alpine skiing on blue terrain.
  • Equipment: Participants need alpine ski equipment, including a helmet.
  • Passes: Full IKON pass required.
  • High School Schedule: This program does not require a “skier’s schedule” for SSHS students.
  • Age: Grades 9-12 (AGE GROUP GUIDELINES)

December 7 - March 15
Thursday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Steamboat Resort (Starting when night skiing opens)
Saturday, 9 a.m -1 p.m. at Steamboat Resort
No Training December 23 - January 2, February 20 - 23.

2024-2025 Program Fee

2024-2025 Program Fee: $2,175 plus $300 refundable work deposit

  • Payment Plan: SSWSC offers multiple payment options for summer, winter, and year-round program fees. Credit cards, eCheck (ACH bank transfer), cash, and checks are all accepted. We also offer a payment plan option. Find more information HERE.

  • Work Deposit Program: SSWSC requires a work deposit for each family. During the registration process, the program fee listed includes the work deposit. Families can earn back the work deposit by volunteering for SSWSC or opt out of volunteering and donate the work deposit to SSWSC. Find more information on the Work Deposit Program HERE.

  • Ride the SSWSC Bus: SSWSC offers after-school bus transportation from Steamboat Springs public schools to Howelsen Hill for SSWSC elementary and middle school athletes, 1st through 8th grades, on their scheduled training days.
