Scholarship Day was on November 22nd, 2017.
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Steamboat Ski Resort’s annual Scholarship Day on Nov. 22 raised nearly $30,000 for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Scholarship Fund.
“Championing the next generation of skiers and snowboarders in Steamboat Springs is such an important part of passing along our passion for the outdoors,” Rob Perlman, president and chief operating officer of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp., said in a news release. “We are thrilled we were able to open on our scheduled date and provide an opportunity for fellow skiers and riders to come out and support local youth programs.”
The resort begins each season with Scholarship Day, the traditional opening day benefit where all proceeds from specially priced daily tickets support the local Winter Sports Club. This year, $29,825 was raised from $25 tickets.
