4th of July Jumping Extravaganza

2022 Jumpin’ & Jammin’

Celebrate the 4th of July at Howelsen Hill and watch 80 of the nation’s best Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping athletes as they soar for 225 feet over the crowd from the HS75 jump! Stay for the entire elimination competition and be sure to bring a chair or blanket and a shade umbrella to claim your spot on the grass, and plan to pick up lunch from the food trucks on site! No outside alcohol is allowed, but cool beverages including cold beer from B&K Distributing and libations from Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be available for purchase to offset the heat.This competition is known to wow spectators of all ages, so stop by Howelsen Hill following the parade, for Ski Jumping in July!  The Elimination Jump Competition starts at 11am on the 4th of July, right after the parade. You can also check out the ski jumping competition on July 3rd, and the running and roller ski race on Lincoln Avenue on July 4th just before the parade!

ENTRY FEES: - $245 for HS45 or $270 for HS75. Entry fee includes hill fees, lift fees and entry fees from Tuesday, June 28th through Monday, July 4th, Saturday BBQ, sack lunch on the 4th and an athlete gift. SSWSC Club athletes pay $120 for the HS45 and $140 for the HS75 as hill and lift fees are paid with club program fees. Entry fee is payable to the SSWSC. National Team Members: “A” Team is comped for all fees, “B” Team pays half, “C” Team and lower pay full fees.

REGISTRATION: - Team leaders please fill out the entry form for your team by Entry Deadline: 12:00 noon, Wednesday, June 29th. An entry form link will be sent out to team leaders.

Seeding: Four seeds will be used on the HS75 in each class and must be entered with registration. The fourth seed will be reserved for the US National Teams only. Each team should divide their skiers evenly in seeds one, two and three. Seed one will jump in the first group, seed two will jump second, seed three will jump next and the fourth seed (USST) will jump last.

SSWSC WAIVER: A SSWSC waiver must be signed but, only once a year (May 1st to April 30th) by athletes 18 & over or by parents for athletes under 18. See link for SmartWaiver here.

ATHLETE BIO: Each athlete is asked to fill out the athlete Bio via this link.

CITY of STEAMBOAT BOARDWALK USE AGREEMENT and RELEASE: The Howelsen Hill Magic Carpet will be open for all training and competitions. In place of wearing a lift ticket each day, this waiver must be signed by each user 18 & over or by a parent if under 18. See link for Smart Waiver here.
