Sasha Nations Promoted to Cycling Director
We are excited to announce that Sasha Nations has been promoted to SSWSC Cycling Director. Sasha has been involved in the Cycling Program for many years. She has coached at all levels, most recently spearheading the Enduro programs. With Sasha’s passion and knowledge of the sport, Cycling Director is a natural fit. Director of People and Sport Blair Seymour was thrilled to hand over the responsibilities to Sasha, saying, “I am confident Sasha will carry on the successful legacy of the cycling program. She has shown her organizational skills and leadership with the snowboard program over the last few years and will continue to propel the Junior Team in the winter months.”

As a native of Colorado, Sasha grew up fully embracing the state’s outdoor activities, spending a significant amount of time enjoying the mountains. During the summer months, she would climb and ride bicycles with her family and friends, while in winter, her focus shifted to snowboarding. Sasha’s passion for speed and performing aerial maneuvers led her to participate in downhill bike races and explore motocross racing during her late teenage years. Before heading to college, she even spent a summer downhill mountain bike racing in Europe.

Sasha prioritized her studies during college and took a break from downhill racing. However, her love for biking persisted, and she eventually found herself drawn back to the sport, specifically focusing on racing once again. This time, she resided in Summit County, where she could fully indulge her passion. Sasha’s enthusiasm for sports is contagious, and she not only coaches snowboarding but also shares her knowledge and expertise in biking. She firmly believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy and excitement of these activities. When Sasha is out on the trails, you’ll often hear her singing with pure delight, fully immersing herself in the experience and relishing every moment of being airborne. Whenever you’re looking for a biking companion or simply in need of a high-five, Sasha is the person to seek out.
