Snowboard Devo Team and Boardriderz Race in Giant Slalom and Slalom Races on Howelsen Hill

Snowboard Athletes Madden Matuga and Luke Feyen Win Home Slalom and Giant Slalom Events
Seventeen athletes from Snowboard Devo Team and Boardriderz raced in the slalom and giant slalom Races at Howelsen Hill on Saturday, February 17. Athletes could choose to compete in one to four races. Five Boardriderz athletes competed for the first time alongside their Devo Team role models; three took home medals! With so many opportunities to race, almost every athlete snagged a spot on the podium. Madden Matuga and Luke Feyen collected gold medals in every one of their races, showing off their consistency and focus. Athletes were excited to welcome out-of-town competitors for our first home USASA event of the season. Huge props to Chase Demos, who debated skipping his final race of the day but muscled up the courage and energy to give it his best effort one last time - Chase stayed determined and got to stand on the podium once again!
