It’s a Downhill Girl Thing (5th grade & up)

Embark on an exciting journey with our engaging 3-week program tailored for middle school and high school girls. Discover the exhilaration of downhill mountain biking and the joy of riding alongside your peers. This program is designed for girls who have a keen interest in delving deeper into the world of downhill mountain biking and are already part of another summer cycling program. This program is intended to be an add-on for Adventure Team, Junior Competitive, It’s A Girl Thing, and Devo Amateur Team athletes looking to build more downhill skills and confidence with sessions once each week on Thursday afternoons.

Minimum ability requirements: Mountain biking experience and desire for physical and mental challenge. Current enrollment in another SSWSC summer cycling program or prior program participation required.

Minimum equipment requirements: Full Suspension All Mountain/Trail Bike, 26, 27.5 or 29 inch wheels (120mm or greater suspension on front and back). Full face helmet, knee pads, eye protection – goggles or sunglasses, full-finger gloves, flat tire kit/tool kit and tube.

Highly recommended: Spine and chest protection, dropper post, baggy bike shorts or pants.

DATES AND TIMES:
Session 1: Thursday, June 13 - June 27, 1-4 p.m.
Session 2: Thursday, July 11 - July 25, 1-4 p.m.
Late Session 3: Thursday, August 1 - August 15, 1-4 p.m.

2024 PROGRAM FEE: $190/session or $540 for all three sessions
Additional cost: Steamboat Bike park passes. Optional: Winter Park or Granby day with additional van fee, and lift ticket.
