FUNFit (Ages 9-12) NEW Program Design for Summer 2024!

The NEW SSWSC physical literacy program has extended times plus more FUN! Physical Literacy is defined by The International Physical Literacy Association as “the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge, and understanding to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life.” Created for ages 9-12 as a complement to other summer programming or as a stand-alone program, our goal is to develop motivation for sport and physical activity and provide exposure to an active lifestyle while preparing young athletes with the comprehensive foundational skills for progression in their sports of choice. In our beautiful backyard of Steamboat Springs we will utilize our resources of outdoor adventures and exploring as well as our facilities at Howelsen, Colorado Mountain College, and the new movement space at the Liman Mountain Center.

Each session will include a combination of multiple activities, including indoor and outdoor adventures, such as yoga, gymnastics, agility, plyometrics, body weight movement and strength, and game-based learning.
