Youth Mountain Bike (ages 6-9)
This three-week program is for children with an interest in learning more about mountain biking, participating in group rides, and a desire to put in some effort, and promotes safe riding skills in a fun environment. The program takes place primarily on trails around Steamboat including Spring Creek, Emerald Mountain, and Bear River Bike Park. Fundamental skills are taught that can be applied to all aspects of cycling. Groups will be organized by age and ability. Groups meet at Howelsen Hill.

Skill Requirement: Riders must be able to comfortably ride a two wheeler on pavement and easy trails.
Equipment: A bike with gears and handbrakes, cycling helmet, water bottle, snack, spare tube (make sure it is the same size as your child’s tires). Bike gloves, hydration pack, bike shorts and sunglasses are recommended.
