Athletes were nominated to teams across six disciplines: alpine, freestyle, ski jumping, nordic combined, snowboard, and freeski. Current SSWSC athletes newly nominated to the team are alpine athletes Logan Grosidier and Jeremy Nolting. Freestyle moguls alum Abby McLarnon, also newly nominated, skied with SSWSC until 2024-2025.
Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC) is proud to announce that SSWSC Freestyle Program Director Ann Battelle is the overall 2025 U.S. Ski & Snowboard Development Coach of the Year and Freestyle Development Coach of the Year. Awards were presented at the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Awards Banquet Wednesday evening in Park City, Utah. And even more awards were announced for individuals with ties to SSWSC.
Taking full advantage of the late-season snow, the mogul skiers wrapped up their season with a final event at Snowbird, April 19–20. With just four athletes participating in this FIS Open opportunity, TeamSteam walked away with strong results and even more valuable experience. The event served up a mix of snow, slush, graupel, wind, and sunshine—classic springtime Freestyle conditions!
U.S. Ski & Snowboard, Rocky Mountain Division has named two Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC) coaches as recipients of the Rocky Mountain Division (RMD) Coach of the Year in two categories. Chad Wolk, FIS/PG Alpine Head Coach, was awarded the RMD Ability Coach of the Year, and Joe Paul, U14 Alpine Head Coach, was recognized as the RMD Age Class Coach of the Year.
Three SSWSC U12 Devo Freeskiers travelled to Vail on March 5 for an IFSA Big Mountain competition. Fresh snow and bluebird skies greeted the competitors as they arrived at the Lover's Leap venue.
