SSWSC U14 alpine ski athlete is the button contest winner for the 112th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival. Louisa was selected from over 60 artwork entries.
The Denver University Invitational took place January 6-9 last week the first event of the 2025 collegiate circuit in the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) division. SSWSC’s Logan Grosdidier put up a fight against the collegiate athletes, starting with two top-ten finishes in the slalom races and a 2nd place finish in the giant slalom race.
The U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships took place at Kincaid Park Anchorage, AK, January 2-6, 2025. SSWSC brought six junior skiers to the event with many alumni attending either with their collegiate program or postgraduate. Antigone Loomis, Anna Rhodes, Nora Graham, Campbell McLaren, Tristan Thrasher, and Grace Olexa.
Cody and the U.S. Team are off to Bansko, Bulgaria, January 18-19 for more World Cup competitions.
Sixty-five ski jumping and nordic combined athletes from the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and the Park City Ski & Snowboard Club gathered at Howelsen Hill last weekend for the Larry Johnson Memorial Junior Championship Qualifier #1.
