Moguls Team Competes in Deer Valley NorAm
The SSWSC Moguls Team competed in the first NorAm of the season hosted by Deer Valley February 5-8, 2024. Mother Nature ensured that the course would be soft, pummeling the famed Champion mogul course daily. With huge bumps and even bigger jumps, the athletes negotiated the steep course like the pros that they are. Abby McLarnon was the top finisher for SSWSC, finishing in 8th in singles and 13th in duals. Despite a fantastic run in qualifications placing her in 3rd, Anabel Ayad caught a snow snake in her finals run, ending up in 14th. Izzy Powell was 19th in singles and 28th in duals. Mia Satkiewicz ended up in 25th in singles and 34th in duals. For the men, Jackson True earned 47th in singles and 45th in duals. Xander Tatar-Brown finished in 27th in singles and 33rd in duals. TeamSteam is off to Apex Mountain in Canada for the next stop on the NorAm Tour.
