SSWSC understands that participating in programs can be financially challenging. To address families’ growing needs, SSWSC has created a scholarship structure that provides support on several levels. Apply early and for multiple scholarships to maximize your total financial aid package.
We know families hesitate to apply for scholarships for various reasons. If you are unsure if you qualify, we strongly encourage you to apply. Please reach out to your program director or Gretchen Keefe, 970-879-0695, with questions.

EZ Program Fee Scholarship
Up to 50% for summer and winter program fees. NEW THIS YEAR: EZ Program Fee Scholarship requires 1040 tax return verification through a short application. See below for details. Application opens with registration on August 5, 2026. No EZ Scholarship applications will be accepted after the October 5, 2026 deadline.

EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship
Up to 50% for year-round program fees. The EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship requires 1040 tax return verification through a short application. See below for details. Application is open. No EZ Competitive Scholarship applications will be accepted after the September 15, 2026 deadline.

Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship
Considers hardship, multiple children, travel, and equipment expenses. Two award rounds, see below for details. Application will be open with year-round registration in April. No Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship applications will be accepted after the August 30, 2026 deadline.

Winter Program Fee Scholarship
Need-based scholarship for all programs (except adult). Considers other factors that impact a family’s financial situation. Three award rounds, see below for details. Application opens with registration on August 5, 2026. No Winter Program Fee Scholarship applications will be accepted after the final deadline on November 28, 2026.

SSWSC offers the EZ Program Fee Scholarship Program for families with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) up to $175,000. The EZ Program Fee Scholarship now requires a short application and the submission of a current 1040 or 1040EZ tax return on the secure and confidential SSWSC scholarship portal to verify 2025 adjusted gross income. EZ Program Fee Scholarships are applied after the application is reviewed. Only current 2025 Tax Returns will be accepted. If you have not filed your 2025 tax return yet, please contact gkeefe@sswsc.org.
SSWSC offers the EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship for families with high school-age athletes in year-round competitive programs. The EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship requires a short application and the submission of a current 1040 or 1040EZ tax return on the secure and confidential SSWSC scholarship portal to verify 2025 adjusted gross income. The EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship is applied directly to program fees based on the family’s adjusted gross income after tax return verification.
SSWSC offers a Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship for all programs (with the exception of adult programs) through an application process. The Program Fee Scholarship is intended to assist SSWSC families with SSWSC program fees based on financial need. SSWSC competitive programs eligible for Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship are U16 Alpine, U18/20 Alpine, U17/19 Moguls, U16/18/20 Cross Country, U16/U18/U20 Jump and Nordic Combined, Freeskiing Senior Team, Snowboarding Pro-Am Race, Snowboarding Pro-Am Race with SBX Add-On, Snowboarding Boardercross, Snowboarding Boardercross with Pro-Am Race Add-On, Snowboarding Senior Team, and Snowboarding Big Mountain Team.
While the EZ Scholarship only factors in adjusted gross income, the Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship considers many other factors, including current hardship, multiple children, associated expenses such as travel and equipment, and a family’s volunteer involvement with SSWSC.
Families can apply for this scholarship even if they have received an EZ Scholarship or if they did not qualify for an EZ Scholarship.
