Program Fee Scholarships

EZ SCHOLARSHIP 

SSWSC offers the EZ Scholarship Program for families with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) up to $175,000. The EZ Scholarship is a two-step scholarship fee program for athletes in summer and winter programs; it requires submitting a current 1040 or 1040EZ tax return. EZ Scholarship is applied directly to program fees based on the family’s adjusted gross income before payment. To be eligible for the EZ Competitive Program Scholarship, families must submit a 1040 tax return to verify their 2025 adjusted gross income on the SSWSC scholarship portal. Only current 2025 Tax Returns will be accepted. If you have not filed your 2025 tax return yet, please contact gkeefe@sswsc.org. 

• Summer and winter programs are eligible for the EZ Scholarship.
• The application will open on August 5 with Winter Registration. Applications will be reviewed and scholarships will be added directly to program fees. In order for the scholarship to be applied before program fees are billed on the 15th of the month, applications must be submitted by the 5th of that month
  • Round 1: Open August 5 / Applications Due September 5 / Scholarships added to account before September 15
  • Round 2: Applications Due October 5 / Scholarships added to account before October 15
  • No additional EZ Fee Scholarships will be awarded after the October deadline.

SSWSC offers the EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship for families with high school-age athletes in year-round competitive programs. The EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship is a two-step scholarship fee program for athletes in year-round programs; it requires submitting a current 1040 or 1040EZ tax return. The EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship is applied directly to program fees based on the family’s adjusted gross income after tax return verification.

• Offsets the cost of participation, equipment, training, and competition travel in year-round programs, which is significantly greater for competitive year-round athletes.
• The EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship uses a different Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) scale, compared to the regular EZ Program Scholarship, increasing access and scholarship amounts for families with an AGI up to $250,000, compared with $175,000 for the regular EZ Scholarship Program.
• SSWSC competitive programs eligible for the EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship are U16 Alpine, U18/20 Alpine, U17/19 Moguls, U16/18/20 Cross Country, U16/U18/U20 Jump and Nordic Combined, Freeskiing Senior Team, Snowboarding Pro-Am Race, Snowboarding Pro-Am Race with SBX Add-On, Snowboarding Boardercross, Snowboarding Boardercross with Pro-Am Race Add-On, Snowboarding Senior Team, and Snowboarding Big Mountain Team.
• To be eligible for the EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship, families must submit a 1040 tax return to verify their 2025 adjusted gross income on the SSWSC scholarship portal.

• The application will be open from April 2 to May 13, at which point the scholarship will be applied to year-round fees ahead of the first billing date (May 15). The application will reopen on May 16 and will be open until September 15. No EZ Competitive Program Fee Scholarship will be awarded after this deadline.

SSWSC offers a Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship for all programs (with the exception of adult programs) through an application process. The Program Fee Scholarship is intended to assist SSWSC families with SSWSC program fees based on financial need. SSWSC competitive programs eligible for Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship are U16 Alpine, U18/20 Alpine, U17/19 Moguls, U16/18/20 Cross Country, U16/U18/U20 Jump and Nordic Combined, Freeskiing Senior Team, Snowboarding Pro-Am Race, Snowboarding Pro-Am Race with SBX Add-On, Snowboarding Boardercross, Snowboarding Boardercross with Pro-Am Race Add-On, Snowboarding Senior Team, and Snowboarding Big Mountain Team.

While the EZ Scholarship only factors in adjusted gross income, the Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship considers many other factors, including current hardship, multiple children, associated expenses such as travel and equipment, and a family’s volunteer involvement with SSWSC.

Families can apply for this scholarship even if they have received an EZ Scholarship or if they did not qualify for an EZ Scholarship.

Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship application will be awarded based on the following schedule:

• Round 1: Application Opens April 2 / Application due by April 30 / Awarded before May 15, 2026
• Round 2: Application Opens August 5 / Application due by August 30 / Awarded before September 15, 2026
• No additional Year-Round Program Fee Scholarships will be awarded after the August 30 deadline.

Families with athletes in multiple SSWSC programs are encouraged to apply for the Year-Round Program Fee Scholarship as well as the EZ Scholarship through registration. Families only need to fill out ONE application per family. All resident or non-resident athletes are eligible.
