SSWSC is seeking a hardworking, versatile, and proactive Facilities Manager to manage and maintain its indoor and outdoor facilities and venues, assist with events, and manage the maintenance for its vehicle fleet. In the summer, the Facilities Manager also supports the maintenance for the alpine slide at Howelsen Hill. 

The ideal candidate is well organized and task-oriented, with direct experience in maintenance or handyman roles. They should take pride in maintaining clean and safe areas for SSWSC operations and programming both on- and off-snow. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic indoor and outdoor environment in an active and community-oriented youth sport culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and execute maintenance and improvements on the SSWSC facilities, including club-owned or operated spaces and buildings at Howelsen Hill (multiple spaces and venues), the Liman Mountain Center at Torian Plum, the water ramp jump facilities at Bald Eagle Lake and new facility at Steamboat Resort, and the Tracy Family Start House at Steamboat Resort
  • Coordinate and support track and ride maintenance and improvements at the Steamboat Howler Alpine Slide
  • Support the SSWSC events staff with venue- and facility-related tasks
  • Support sport program directors with on-snow venue maintenance tasks
  • Manage vehicle fleet including scheduling maintenance, monitoring vehicle condition, and communicating with staff
  • Organize and maintain club tools and equipment related to facilities and venues
  • Foster strong relationships with local contractors and vendors to support the club’s maintenance needs
  • Maintain positive working relationships with city staff, resort staff and key partners
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support club operations

Additional Information

Reporting and Relationships: Reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Works closely with Events Manager, Athletic Director and Sport Program Directors. Close working relationship with Howelsen Hill ski area staff, Steamboat Ski Resort and various vendors and contractors.

Hours and Schedule: Generally Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work some weekends for major club events.

SSWSC is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and highly respected Freeride Freeskiing Coach to help lead the organization’s freeride athletes and support consistent program delivery across the department. This coach will guide technical development of athletes and foster a team-oriented culture.

The ideal candidate is a strong skier with deep freeride expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within a team. This role works closely with the Freeride Freeskiing Program Director and represents SSWSC culture, mission, and values in all aspects of coaching and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Freeride Freeski Coach and support the Head Coach Program and Director in delivering a successful program.
  • Execute a technical progression appropriate to freeride disciplines.
