Athlete Workshops — Three sessions on how to use and implement the topics and exercises in the Mindset Performance Program. Olympian Hall, Howelsen Hill Lodge.
Focus and Concentration
Monday, November 11 or Tuesday, November 12, 4–5 p.m.
Focus and concentration are the foundational pieces of effective Mindset Training. Tools for building the skill of concentration will be presented and explained.
Imagery
Monday, November 18 or Monday, November 25, 4–5 p.m.
Utilizing imagery to train & perform is a skill. We will introduce foundational concepts of imagery as well as sport specific techniques and an introduction to effective cue utilization.
Motivation and Flow / Self-Talk
Monday, December 2 or Tuesday, December 10, 4–5 p.m.
Exploring the keys to long-term motivation is a hallmark of being mindset-tough. We will introduce tips for doing this, in addition to discussing self-talk in sport and techniques for flow.
About Luke Brosterhous: Luke holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Utah in sport psychology. As a former Alpine Ski Coach, Luke understands the language of the Winter Sport Athlete. He is a PGA Member, a national team coach for the Moroccan Golf Federation, and has been the Mindset Performance Coach for SSWSC since 2019.

About Skylar Weir: Skylar Weir, MS, RD grew up in Steamboat Springs as a competitive multi-sport athlete. She works at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center as a Clinical Dietitian and owns a virtual private practice specializing in performance nutrition, disordered eating, and eating disorders.
About Jessica Yeaton: Jessica Yeaton is a Physical Therapist and two-time Olympian for cross-country skiing. She practices at UCHealth SportsMed Clinic and also runs a private coaching company with her husband.
