Mogul Athletes Bring Home Multiple Top Ten Finishes from Telluride Comp

Instead of heading to the beach, six U17/U19 mogul athletes spent February 22 and 23 at the Rocky Mountain Freestyle Competitive Series Southwest Classic in Telluride. With beautiful, blue sky weather, the athletes hit the famed Hermit Mogul Course, embracing the changing conditions on the course, from the icy, steep top section to the flat, abrupt bumps through the middle and back to steeps for the bottom section.

Six SSWSC Alumni Athletes Qualify for the 2025 NCAA Skiing Championships

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the men’s and women’s selections for the 2025 National Collegiate Skiing Championships on March 5-8, 2025. 74 men and 74 women were selected to compete and six athletes chosen to compete are SSWSC alumni—Bode Flanigan, Boston College (alpine), Nicholas Unkovskoy, Middlebury (alpine), Hannah Soria, Colby College (alpine), Isabelle Washburn, Dartmouth College (alpine), Chase High, St. Scholastica (nordic), and Grey Barbier, Montana State (nordic). SSWSC currently has 35 athletes skiing at the collegiate NCAA level in alpine and cross country (nordic).

Nine U16 Athletes for U16 Rocky Central Junior Championships

Over three days of competition and three races, the team amassed two podium finishes and an impressive fifteen top-15 results. At the conclusion of the series, qualifiers for the U16 Rocky Central Junior Championships were announced, and Team Steam delivered, with 9 of their 14 athletes earning a spot.
