One Philosophy

There are many successes in the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC).  Not every athlete will have a podium finish or head for the Olympics.  But every athlete participating in the club will have the opportunity to become a successful individual regardless of his or her athletic abilities.  Through the one on one connections of coaches and athletes, we aim to provide an opportunity for the youth of our community to become successful individuals and to achieve their personal goals through the participation in winter sports.

One Dream

We all dream, but how often do we get to turn our dream into reality?  At SSWSC we see dreams becoming reality daily.  Whether it is the young child who makes his first turn on the ski hill or the athlete who takes a medal at a race, athletes are granted an opportunity to fulfill their dreams daily.  We at SSWSC dream too.  Of being financially able to provide top facilities and programming for our athletes.  Of offering competitive benefits and compensation to the coahces who make the club what it is today.  We dream of the SSWSC holding strong for the next 100 years.

One Vision

Our vision is clear: remain the No. 1 ski and snowboard club in the U.S.  At its' inception in 1914 the SSWSC was primarily geared to nordic skiing and jumping.  Today the club provides coaching and training to over 1,000 athletes participating within 44 programs in alpine, jumping, freestyle, snowboard, cross country, nordic combined, biathalon, cycling and skateboarding.  We aim to stay on top by continuing to offer the best athletic programming and making it available to all who wish to participate.

One Legacy

Only one place has been around for nearly a century, enriching the lives of thousands of children.  Only one place is so filled with traditions and history, dedicating itself to the youth.  Only one place has this legacy.  The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club is that place.  Where the tradition of winter sports is strong and children are encouraged to be champions on and off the hill.  Where the respect for its unique history keeps the legacy alive.

Your contribution can support the dreams of our youth, as well as those of the club.  Your one contribution will allow us to continue to create success stories.  One child, one athlete at a time.  One on One.  Our formula for success.  With first rate coaches and dedicated leadership, our club continues to help develop world class athletes.  But we do not measure our success the titles and medals alone.  Each child who participates can achieve personal success by learning lessons in teamwork, the principals of dedication, leadership skills, perseverance and hard work.  These life lessons help the child achieve not only in athletics, but at home, at school and within the future workplace. SSWSC is committed to help each child realize their potential.
