Wednesdays at Howelsen Hill: Steamboat Cup Series
Join SSWSC every Wednesday from 4-6 p.m., January 6 through March 17, for the Steamboat Cup, a FREE, fun, and introductory-level competition series for kids ages 7-13 at Howelsen Hill.
Each week offers a new chance to try competing in events like alpine duals, moguls, ski jumping, freeride, and cross country, all in a welcoming, low-pressure environment designed to encourage confidence and a love of the sport.
Skill Requirement
Successful completion of U8 Skiing or beginner to intermediate skiing skills and a coach’s recommendation.
Equipment
Fees include nordic jumping equipment. First year U10 athletes are encouraged to start on alpine equipment (which is not provided) and then progress into the nordic jumping equipment. Second year U10 athletes can start on jumping equipment for both the Fall Plastic Jumping Session or the winter on-snow program.
Passes
Jumpers need an Howelsen Hill Alpine-only pass.
Team Jacket
Athletes are issued a SSWSC jacket in the fall to use for the season as well as ski jumping skis, boots, and suit. Cross country training jacket, race suit, and hat can be purchased in the fall, but are not required.Age Group

Payment Options
Payment and Payment Plans: SSWSC offers multiple payment options for summer, winter, and year-round program fees. eCheck (ACH bank transfer), cash, checks, and credit cards are all accepted. We also offer a payment plan option. Find more information HERE.
Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships: SSWSC offers the EZ Program Fee Scholarships for local families with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) up to $175,000 for winter and summer programs and up to $250,000 for competitive programs. All EZ Program Fee Scholarship applicants are required to submit a current 1040 or 1040EZ tax return to determine eligibility.

U10 Fall Plastic Jumping Fee: $475 (this is an additional program priced separately)

Interested in adding one day of cross country skate skiing to the Boardriderz program? This option provides a great opportunity to sample cross country skiing, develop enhanced balance, coordination, and strength on cross country skis, and make the most of everything that Howelsen has to offer.
