SSWSC and Freeride Freeski Program Director Tony Lodico are excited to announce that Wallace Hynds is joining the team as Freeride Freeski Senior Team Head Coach.
Tony is excited to have Wallace on the team, “Last season, Wally worked with both our Senior and Junior Teams. Over that time, he impressed us with his excitement and love for the sport and the lore behind it. Wally’s skiing and his ability to connect with the teamdrove our decision to bring him on as our new head coach.”
Meet Wallace Hynds
Born and raised in Vermont, Wallace (or Wally) grew up obsessed with skiing. From Ski The East freeride tours to competing in slopestyle through high school, Wally spent almost every day of each winter on a mountain. Like many other East Coast skiers, his enthusiasm for gnarly terrain eventually took him out west to Colorado to compete in Freeride/Big Mountain events. Since 2020, coaching and guiding has helped him fine tune his expertise to help the next generation of athletes push the boundaries of the sport he loves. Wally spent four seasons at Winter Park before he and his partner made the stellar choice to move across the divide.
We’re looking forward to the continued growth of our Freeride Freeski teams.
