Fun
The number one driver of participation in sports is FUN. Every SSWSC program has fun at its core. Fun is essential for developing champions on and off the mountain; it fuels long-term engagement, learning, and success. Sport should be playful. SSWSC athletes will learn to enjoy the process, which can be challenging and not always fun in the moment, ultimately leading to satisfaction and fulfillment in the future.

Teamwork
Teamwork is our secret weapon. While our sports are contested at the individual level, we know that a strong, unified team environment motivates athletes and creates a rewarding experience. With a wide range of winter and summer programs, we leverage the expertise of our coaches across all disciplines to make each other better. We encourage our athletes to interact across disciplines through activities, shared coaching days, and athlete mentorships. SSWSC is one team — athletes, coaches, families, community members, partners, and donors — working together to elevate each other and enrich our athletes’ experiences and the Steamboat community.
