Junior Coaching Programs are designed to mentor and inspire middle to high school-aged youth to explore sport from a coaching perspective. The Junior Coach program fosters the development of leadership skills, organizational skills, independence, communication, professionalism, public speaking, commitment, and follow-through. Participants will gain knowledge on the progressions of foundational skiing skills and technical knowledge of alpine skiing while also exploring the theory of coaching. The program welcomes youth to be a member of the SSWSC in a non-competitive environment while sharing their passion for snowsports.

Application for Junior Coaching for Winter 2026-2027 LINK HERE. Accepted applicants will be notified and provided with instructions on enrollment, orientation/training dates, and connections with the Junior Coach Coordinator and head coaches for further information. Application does not guarantee placement in the Junior Coach program. Junior Coaches must be in 6th grade or older.
