Summer & Winter Cross Country

Cross Country Post Graduate

The Cross Country Post Graduate program is designed for motivated athletes taking time off between high school and college to pursue competitive cross country skiing at a high level. Athletes have the opportunity to train and compete for two years before they begin to impact their NCAA eligibility, and this program has served as a successful stepping-stone to advance athletes to NCAA programs. Athletes in the Post Grad program also have the opportunity to further their education by taking classes at Colorado Mountain College (CMC) and/or to find employment in Steamboat Springs.

Summer Training Camp
Dates: June 3-8, 2026
The Cross Country Summer Training Camp combines rollerskiing, cycling, running, and strength training across some of Colorado’s top endurance venues. The camp departs Steamboat Springs on June 3 for the Aspen/Carbondale area, where athletes will spend two days focused on rollerski and bike training. From June 5–7, the team moves to Silverthorne and Summit County for additional running and cycling sessions, a classic rollerski workout around Lake Dillon, and participation in either the GoPro Mountain Games 10K running race or the hill climb cycling race.

Throughout the camp, we plan to combine training sessions with athletes from the Aspen, Vail, and Summit programs, giving participants the opportunity to train alongside a larger regional group and build connections across Colorado’s Nordic community.

The camp concludes on June 8 with a major adventure ride before returning home to Steamboat. Athletes will stay overnight in Carbondale and Silverthorne throughout the trip, balancing high-quality training with recovery, team activities, and time together as a group. This summer camp is not included in the program fee; see camp costs and more information HERE.

SUMMER TRAINING BREAK: There is a scheduled two-week break from July 27 through August 9 for families to plan a summer vacation.

The program will train through school breaks with selective days off. Whenever there is a public school day off, we will train in the morning.
