SSWSC is thrilled to announce that Adam Spector has joined the team as our new Facilities Manager. Adam has been part of the club community for a decade, since his daughter Livia, a U16 cross country skier, joined the program. He will start next week and will work with Terry Williams through a transition period heading into the season.
Adam brings more than 25 years of experience in the outdoor industry. He has helped grow outdoor and natural food brands from startups to category leaders by building strong relationships, developing strategic partnerships, and carrying out initiatives that drive sustainable growth. He has held leadership roles with several respected brands, including Bison Designs, Dermatone, Honey Stinger, and TALON Grips. His background spans sales management, brand development, marketing strategy, and business operations, with a focus on understanding customer needs and building high-performing teams. He has also founded his own company and managed teams in a variety of settings. Throughout his career, he has valued collaboration, continuous improvement, and the long-term relationships that drive lasting success.
Adam also brings strong handyman skills and a hands-on approach, and he is excited about the mix of fieldwork, planning, and organization this role requires. He will bring a new perspective and skill set to the position.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Adam can be found on just about anything under his feet in the winter, from skis to snowboard to pedals. In the summer he is biking, fishing, hiking, and surfing, and exploring Colorado’s mountains, rivers, and trails. His connection to the Steamboat Springs community runs deep, including coaching Little Vikings with SSWSC.
Adam is passionate about the outdoors and the role youth sports play in building confidence, resilience, and a lifelong appreciation for the mountains. He is excited to bring his professional experience and commitment to the Steamboat community to his work with SSWSC.
Please join us in welcoming Adam to the team. I look forward to introducing him to everyone as he gets started.
