The Steamboat community came out in force on July 3 to honor and raise flags in Olympian Hall for our 13 Steamboat Olympians who competed in the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games! The Olympians being honored in the celebration were freestyle moguls athletes Jaelin Kauf (TEAM USA) 2022 and 2026 (x2) Silver Medalist, Olivia Giaccio (TEAM USA), *Landon Wendler (TEAM USA), *Charlie Mickel (TEAM USA), and *Avital Carroll (AUSTRIA); alpine skiing and alpine snowboard athlete Ester Ledecka (CZECHIA) 2018 (x2) and 2022 Gold Medalist; freeski halfpipe athlete *Riley Jacobs (TEAM USA); snowboard halfpipe, *Maddy Schaffrick (TEAM USA); alpine snowboard and snowboard cross athlete Cody Winters (TEAM USA); snowboard cross athlete Jarryd Hughes (AUSTRALIA) 2018 Silver Medalist; ordic combined athlete *Niklas Malacinski (TEAM USA); and ski jumping athletes *Annika Belshaw (TEAM USA) and *Jason Colby (TEAM USA). Seven athletes joined the celebration in person: Annika Belshaw, Jason Colby, Riley Jacobs, Niklas Malacinski, Maddy Schaffrick, Landon Wendler. and Cody Winters. Amazing and heartfelt stories were shared by the athletes. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of these athletes.
