Snowboard Boardriderz Coach
SSWSC is seeking a Snowboard Boardriderz Team Assistant Coach to support the delivery of youth snowboard programming in alignment with the mission of SSWSC. This role contributes to athlete development through structured training, collaboration with coaching staff, and fostering a positive, safe, and engaging training environment.
Key Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uphold and contribute to the SSWSC philosophy and goals.
- Produce and take ownership of a training environment that promotes team building, learning and lifelong love of sport.
- Collaborate with Head Coach and Program Director to execute a technical progression for the program as is appropriate for the discipline.
- Collaborate with coaches regarding preseason goal setting, and mid-season and end-of-season evaluations for athletes.
- Foster a professional office and training environment for team members.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with SSWSC staff, Steamboat Ski and Resort staff, City of Steamboat Springs Howelsen Hill staff.
- Professional use of specific communication tools provided by the Director of Communications.
- Establish and maintain weekly communication and relationships with parents within the program.
- Provide support at SSWSC events when requested.
- Attend all required SSWSC staff training seminars and meetings.
- Represent, uphold and contribute to the SSWSC mission, vision and core values.
- Enforce the athlete code of conduct and manage disciplinary issues, with the help of the head coach, program director and Athletic Director for athletes, in accordance with club policies and procedures.
- Other duties assigned by program director or SSWSC leadership.
