The SSWSC Big Mountain Team ski and snowboard athletes traveled to Crested Butte during Blues Break February 19-23 to compete in the 2025 Crested Butte IFSA Junior 3*. On qualifying days athletes competed in the Hawk’s Nest Venue. Through the cliffs, bumps, and airs, SSWSC qualified six out of our 11 athletes for the finals.
Taking the Rental Shop air, followed by Shoebox and then Hollywood, Vander Zuck moved from 6th to finishing 4th overall. Banks Ward took an intricate line through the rocks to secure 8th in the U15 Ski men’s field. Reid Graham took some big airs through the venue to secure 5th in U15 Snowboard men. Cooper Malia threw a massive 360 off the Box Rock to get 4th in U19 Snowboard men. Finally, Thomas Agosta skiing the Rental, Shoe to Hollywood line shredded his way into 10th for the U19 Ski men.
