Junior Ability Snowboard, ages 14 & younger

This program is intended for riders who are looking to enhance their snowboard skills and all mountain riding with a primary focus being placed on FUN.  Athletes will learn progressive freeride skills and be introduced to all the different snowboarding disciplines: giant slalom, slalom, halfpipe, slopestyle, rail jams and snowboardcross. These riders are encouraged to participate in our Community Jam Series and/or some USASA regional series. Competition is not required. If your rider is driven towards competition, check out our new Snowboard Intro to Comp Program (ages 8-11) and Junior Team (ages 11-13). Dryland training is offered prior to getting on-snow. These sessions are optional, as we support athletes participating in other sports during the fall. Dryland sessions are focused on physical literacy, improving fitness, setting team culture and individual goals, camaraderie and fun.

If your child is not participating in other fall sports, check out our Fall Fun Fit (ages 8-10), additional Junior Snowboard Fall Dryland  (11-13), and Fall Skateboard Camp for additional preseason training.

  • Minimum riding requirement: Ability to link turns on blue terrain and desire to train three days per week
  • Equipment requirements: Participants need snowboard equipment, and a helmet. An all-terrain board is recommended.
