Nordic Jumping

U18 & U20 Jumping, ages 16+

This program provides maximum training opportunities for highly motivated skiers who wish to pursue their fullest potential in Jumping or Nordic Combined.  A strong emphasis is placed on physical conditioning and improving technique.  Athletes train and compete on the HS75, HS100 and HS127 meter jumps.  Participants compete in regional, national and in some cases international competitions.

Minimum skiing requirement: Successful completion of U16 program or the equivalent

Equipment requirements: Participants need their own nordic jumping equipment, coaches will assist with ordering

Season pass information: Purchase a Howelsen Hill season pass, for sale starting in October

Competition information: Participants compete in U.S. Ski & Snowboard regional, national and in some cases, international competitions.

Licensing requirements A U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership is required to compete in U.S. Ski & Snowboard sanctioned events and a FIS license may be required for national and international events.

2022/23 DATES TIMES AND LOCATIONS:

Dryland Training: Starts August 29

Jumping: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 4:00-6:00pm

Aerobic: Monday and Thursday 4:00-6:00pm

Strength: Tuesday and Friday 6:45-7:45am at Howelsen Hill

On-Snow Training: Through March 26

Jumping: Wednesday and Friday 4:00-6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-12:30pm

Aerobic: Tuesday and Thursday 4:00-6:00pm

Strength: Tuesday and Friday 6:45-7:45am at Howelsen Hill

2022/23 PROGRAM FEE**:
RESIDENT*: $8,500, plus $600 refundable work deposit
NON-RESIDENT: $10,625, plus $600 refundable work deposit
*Full-time residents of Routt or Moffat County, or full-time participants of SSWSC for two years or more (see Member Handbook for full details on resident fees)

**Note: Under the new annual program fee structure, the full amount paid for spring/summer training will be applied as a deposit toward competitive-level winter programs. Under this pricing structure summer program fees will become eligible for the SSWSC EZ Scholarship, just as all winter program fees have been in the past. This will expand the scholarship opportunities for families that qualify for EZ Scholarship, making SSWSC programs more affordable. Credit for summer program fees will be applied to fall/winter program fees when fall/winter registration is processed.
