Advanced Bike Camp, ages 10-13 NEW SUMMER 2025

Advanced Bike Camp (ages 10-13) NEW!

This program is for riders with several years of singletrack biking experience who are comfortable riding intermediate to advanced trails and are looking to elevate their riding skills and fitness through instruction, challenges, and adventure. A great program for kids who have spent a session or more with Adventure Team or Junior Team mountain biking, camp days will combine longer rides on Howelsen and trails near Steamboat with skill work on grass and in Bear River Bike Park, bike maintenance instruction and practice, and an introduction to foundational physical literacy and strength for cycling. The goals of the camp are to introduce and progress more advanced riding skills including body position, handling jumps and drops, and line selection, while having fun and developing a love of biking and the outdoors. Each day will start with up to three hours of riding, followed by a break for lunch, and then end with a different afternoon activity each afternoon.

Requirements

Skill Requirements: Riders must be comfortable on a variety of blue and black trails, including long climbs and negotiating technical descents and switchbacks, and able to ride up to three hours per day with breaks.
