Alpine FIS Athlete Jeremy Nolting Earns First Top Ten Result in North American Cup (NorAm)

Four alpine athletes raced against the top competitors in North America in the second North American Cup (NorAm) in Canada January 26-30—Logan Grosdidier, Abby Olson, Jeremy Nolting, and Ian Haupt. SSWSC athlete Jeremy Nolting came home with his first top-10 finish in the giant slalom at Lake Louise on January 30. The 10th place finish was 2nd place in the U21 age category. Nolting also placed 14th in the first GS on January 29 and earned another 14th place in the slalom race on January 27. Ian Haupt had two top 30 finishes in the slalom races on January 27 (22nd place) and January 28 (26th place). Top 30 results earn NorAm Cup points. SSWSC athlete Logan Grosididier also had incredible finishes with a 12th place at the Lake Louise giant slalom race and 11th and 13th place at the slalom races in Norquay on January 29 and 30. Abby Olson also earned NorAm Cup points with two top 30 finishes in the giant slalom with a 30th place on January 27 and a 22nd place finish on January 28.
Nolting will also race in the speed events, including super G and downhill races February 3-9, 2025. The North American Cup finals will take place at Sugarloaf March 10-20, 2025 with both tech—slalom and giant slalom and speed—super G and downhill events.
