Mia Satkiewicz and Liam Siefkin Win Freestyle Junior Nationals, Scotty Kane Wins Aerials

Fourteen athletes from U15-U19 from Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club qualified to compete last week in the 2025 Freestyle Junior Nationals March 17-23 in Park City, Utah for single moguls, dual moguls and aerials. And what a week it was with two SSWSC U19 athletes and one alum returning home as Junior National Champions and many other podiums.

The SSWSC mogul steam came away with some amazing experiences as well as fantastic results. Mia Satkiewicz and Liam Siefken both earned the title of Junior National Mogul Champion on March 21 in the F19 and M19 categories. Lots of hardware was also earned in the duals competition on March 23 Claire Boyle took the silver in F19 and Mia Satkiewicz the bronze. Anouk Bradley narrowly missed the podium, earning 4th in F17, and Sydney Soard, in her first Junior National competition earned the bronze in the F15 category. Scotty Kane got the win in the aerials competition, winning by 10 points with his Lay Full. Jack Perkins took the silver in the M19 aerial competition. Scotty Kane was the overall winner in aerials, earning him the title of Jr. National Champion. Kane also was the M19 Combined Champion, for his efforts in single moguls, dual moguls and the aerial competition. Jack Perkins was the silver medalist in the M19 overall.

In the U15 category, Sydney Soard also earned 6th place in single moguls. Cole Anderson placed 9th in single moguls and 10th in dual moguls.

In the U17 category, Anouk Bradley also finished 25th in single moguls. Gigi Lobeck finished 10th in both the singles and duals mogul competitions. Lyllah Miller finished 27th in single moguls and 17th in dual moguls. Finley Fontaine finished 31st in singles and 33rd in duals. For the men, Shane Mariano earned 19th in singles and 5th in duals. Griffin Harvey was 9th in singles and 17th in duals.

For the U19s, Claire Boyle also earned 4th in single moguls. Jack Perkins was 12th in single moguls and 6th in dual moguls. Scotty Kane earned 7th in single moguls and 5th in dual moguls.

Anouk Bradley, Gigi Lobeck and Sydney Soard all qualified for US National Championships in Palisade Tahoe, March 24-March 31 as a result of their performance at Junior Nationals and will join teammates Shane Mariano, Liam Siefken, Jack Perkins, Peyton Billeisen, Mia Satkiewicz, Claire Boyle and Anabel Ayad who already qualified.
