March 1 and 2, SSWSC athletes traveled to compete in the IFSA Winter Park 2* events. The events took place in the Alphabet Chutes zone high up in the Cirque. At the sunny Saturday showdown, Cormac Hill and Jaxson Wright shredded their way into 2nd and 3rd place in the U15 Ski Men division. With a big air into some high-speed maneuvering, Luke Yowell ended the day in 5th place.

Again, greeted by excellent weather on Sunday, SSWSC athletes continued their hard-charging. In the U15 women’s ski division, Milly Grover tore her way through the venue to take the 2nd place spot on the podium. Moving into U15 ski men, Jackson Koermer climbed the 3rd step of the podium with teammate Vander Zuck following him in 4th place. Joining in the top ten were Mason Lipscomb in 8th and Cooper Lewallen in 10th. In his first-ever IFSA event, Colson McTigue skied his way into 12th. Ending the day in the final few athletes, Ryan Montgomery threw the biggest 360 of the day to come in at 6th place.
