Kensie Ricketts Takes 2nd and Max Marrs 4th and in Vail Moguls Rocky Qualifier Series Comps
TeamSteam’s Rocky Qualifier Series Moguls Team showed up at Vail on February 22 to a short, relatively flat course, very different from what they usually ski. After some initial challenges, the 12 SSWSC athletes adjusted to the new venue, and solid top-to-bottoms became the norm. Top results in U15 came from Max Marrs, 4th, and Kensie Ricketts, 2nd. Grace Manning narrowly missed the coveted top 10 finish, placing 12th. Lucy Gray finished 14th, Ella Colon 19th, Avery Middledorf 20th, Harper Dopkin 21st and Grace Mac 26th. For boys, Gabriel Merage, in his first competition ever, placed 10th! Sam Pulford was 13th, Abe Brown 15th, and Aiden Kottcamp finished in 20th. Congrats to these hard-charging athletes!
The Rocky Qualifier Series is geared toward athletes 11 and older who are not competing in the Rocky Mountain Competitive Series program or the Development Series Program. The next RQS competition is at Arapahoe Basin on March 1.
