Grosdidier Earns Multiple Podiums at NorAm Finals and Nolting is National Downhill Junior Champion

NorAm Finals just concluded at Sugarloaf and Burke Mountain. SSWSC athletes traveled east to compete against the top alpine skiers in North America from March 10-20, 2025. The final race series of the STIFEL Success NorAm Cup began with the speed events at Sugarloaf, downhill races on March 10-11, and super-G races on March 13-14.

SSWSC’s Jeremy Nolting, fresh off his success as the top American at the World Juniors in Italy, claimed the National Downhill Junior Champion title with his 10th-place finish in the first downhill race, which was also the National Championship event. Abby Olson also had a solid day, finishing 15th in the downhill for the women.

In the super-G races, Logan Grosdidier took charge with a top ten finish in the first super-G, placing 9th, and she landed her first podium of Finals with a 3rd place in the second. SSWSC alum Tatum Grosdidier was also top-ten in both Super-G races with 5th and 6th place. Nolting continued with solid race finishes in both super-G races, placing in the top twenty and 17th place in both races. SSWSC’s Abby Olson and Caley Goforth also had top thirty finishes in the super-G, with Olson finishing 30th and 21st and Goforth placing 28th and 27th.

For the tech races in slalom and giant slalom (GS), the women moved to Burke Mountain, and the men continued racing a Sugarloaf. Athletes battled weather delays at both venues with challenging conditions and some cancellations. In the slalom races at Burke, Logan continued her podium streak with a 2nd place in the slalom race, a 3rd place in the giant slalom, and another top-ten 8th place result in the second giant slalom race. Tatum Grosdidier narrowly missed the podium in the GS, racing to a 4th place finish, and both women topped the Junior Podium for the first GS race, 1st (Logan) and 2nd (Tatum). Tatum also placed 10th in the second GS.

At Sugarloaf, in the tech races, the men faced very challenging conditions. With a surface that didn’t allow for much movement based on your start position. Ian Haupt, and Daniel Ferruci struggled to find the finish line quickly. As their goal was top 30 on the first run in order to capitalize on the challenging conditions for second run. Jeremy came home with a 25th place in GS.
