Bode Flanigan Skis to 3rd Place at NCAA Championships

The first day of the NCAA Skiing Championships is underway, and SSWSC alum Bode Flanigan, Boston College, takes home the bronze with a 3rd place in the men’s slalom. Way to go, Bode! Six SSWSC alumni are competing in this year’s championships—Bode Flanigan, Boston College (alpine), Nicholas Unkovskoy, Middlebury (alpine), Hannah Soria, Colby College (alpine), Isabelle Washburn, Dartmouth College (alpine), Chase High, St. Scholastica (nordic), and Grey Barbier, Montana State (nordic). SSWSC currently has 35 athletes skiing at the collegiate NCAA level in alpine and cross country (nordic). Races continue tomorrow at Dartmouth with nordic racing at Oak Hill Outdoor Center for a 7.5 km individual classic, back to Dartmouth Skiway for the giant slalom on Friday, and the final day of racing back at Oak Hill on Saturday, a 20 km mass start freestyle.
