Moguls Team Competes at Aspen Highlands
TeamSteam headed to Aspen Highlands January 18-19 for a bitter cold comp on the famed Thunderbowl. The athletes tackled a firm Aspen course with 16 competitors ranging from U15 to senior. A huge top air with an icy landing ate up and spit out many competitors but what a learning experience for everyone!
Mia Satkiewicz came away with two 4th place overall finishes with solid top to bottom runs all week-end. Mia was the only female to flip both top and bottom air in duals and one of 5 in the singles competition, showcasing her confidence and take-no-prisoners attitude. Way to push it, Mia! Reise Wilson placed 8th overall in singles. Lyllah Miller, Gigi Lobeck and Anouk Bradley all had top 10 finishes in the U17 category and Sydney Soard placed 5th in U15.
Shane Mariano was TeamSteam’s top male finisher, placing 10th overall in single moguls. Griffin Harvey had a top 10 finish in U17, and Cole Anderson was 3rd for U15.
The team is in the middle of a busy competition season. TeamSteam is now off to Vail this weekend.
