SSWSC and Steamboat Ski Resort will host two International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association (IFSA) Big Mountain competitions January 20-22, 2023. IFSA is the governing organization of Big Mountain competitions for skiers and snowboarders of all ages. On Saturday and Sunday at the Junior Regional IFSA event, junior skiers and riders will showcase their skills down East Face at Steamboat Ski Resort, U12 (Saturday), 12-18-year-olds (Sunday). Monday’s event is the Freeride World Qualifier for adults 18+ on Chute 1. Competitors have one run to score as high as possible, judged on line choice, control, technique, fluidity, and style/energy. Big Mountain is all about adventure, creativity, and fun! Spectators are welcome to cheer on the local skiers and snowboarders!
