Jon Casson |

| Jon is originally from the Washington DC area, moving to Steamboat in 1998 to chase the snow. He started working as a snowboard instructor for Steamboat Ski Area and quickly fell in love with teaching people the sport. In 1999, Jon started with the SSWSC as a volunteer coach. He moved into the position of Junior Head Coach in 2001 and was named Program Director in 2004. He has a strong sense for rider development and works hard to establish effective training programs while maintaining the core values of snowboard culture. Jon is also very active throughout the snowboard world and is currently the Vice President of the USASA Executive Board, Freestyle Examiner for AASI and an active participant with the USSA Snowboard Sport Committee. In 2007 and 2008, Jon was chosen to coach the US Junior World Championship BoarderCross Team in Bad Gastein, Austria and Valmalenco, Italy. |

| Spencer has a long history in snowboarding and with the SSWSC Snowboard Team. He started snowboarding as a teenager growing up in Denver in the eighties. He quickly grew to love the freedom and excitement of the sport. He started snowboarding competitively both in racing and freestyle in 1992. Between 1992 and 2001, Spencer racked up dozens of top finishes in a variety of professional events as well as numerous video parts and magazine shots. Spencer has also filled several different coaching positions; Head Freestyle Coach/ Program Director for the SSWSC Snowboard Team and Head Coach for Mt Hood Snowboard Camps. In 2006, Spencer was chosen to coach the US Junior World Championship Halfpipe Team in Korea. Spencer was recently named as the USSA Domestic Snowboard Coach of the Year and was selected to coach the next generation of US Team riders at the Project Gold Development Camps in Mt Hood. |

| Thedo enjoys bringing snowboard racing to a higher level in the US. He has put several riders on the US Team and coached riders at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. Thedo mission is to provide a solid training base while working on the right mentality to excel in the sport. Thedo is a former Olympian and coached successfully on the World Cup before coming to Steamboat. |

| Mark has a long history with competitive snowboarding. He started snowboarding in the 80’s. Since the mid 90’s Mark has fostered and built teams at three different Northwest resorts. In order to meet his athletes competitive needs, he founded the USASA Inland Northwest series. Mark has been honored to coach the USASA National Team for the past three years, taking athletes to compete in Europe numerous times. In 2006 Mark coached the USASA National Team to a first place finish at Trofeo Topolino. In 2008 Mark coached boardercross athletes in the Revolution Tour, the US Grand Prix series, Junior Worlds and at the World Cup level. Mark’s credentials include being a trainer with USASA, holding certification with USSA and a Level 3 certification with PSIA/AASI. |

Ashley Berger |
| Head Junior Coach | |
| Ashley was lucky enough to have grown up in Steamboat Springs and was a rider with the SSWSC Snowboard Team from its very beginnings. She is a solid rider comfortable anywhere on the mountain but truly enjoys pushing her skills in the halfpipe or on the rails. She spent several years competing at the regional and national level through both USASA and USSA. Ashley is a demanding coach who sets high expectations for herself as well as for the kids. She has a tremendous understanding of the necessary skills and attitude to be successful at every level of the sport. |

Eric Rolls |
| Co-Head Senior Coach | |
| Eric joined the SSWSC from the Gould Academy in Maine. Eric has been involved in snowboard coaching and instructing since 1997. He started as a snowboard instructor in NY and later became the program director for the Jay Peak Snowboard School in Vermont. In 2003, Eric made the transition to coaching and worked with the Gould Academy Park, Pipe and Air Team. Eric was recently named as one of the 6 members of the AASI National Team. He also represents Smokin' Snowboards and Alliance clothing. During the summer, Eric lives the rock and roll dream, touring around the western US as the drummer for the Holden Young Trio. |

Jo Richards |
| Junior Coach | |
| Jo has been living and working in Steamboat for the past 7 years. During the winter, she is employed by the Steamboat Ski Area as a snowboard school supervisor. Jo has earned her AASI Level 3 certification as well as Trainer's, Freestyle and Children's Accreditation. She is also EMT and Wilderness First Aid Trainer spending the summers leading classes through the Wilderness Medicine Institute. In 2008, she was one of 25 snowboard instructors nationwide to be selected to tryout for the AASI National Team. Her hobbies include snowboarding, cycling, climbing and volunteering for every community organization in Steamboat. Jo is very enthusiastic about snowboarding and is a fantastic role model for all of our young riders. |

Luke Kessler |
| Senior Coach | |
Luke started with the Snowboard Team in 2007-2008 as a volunteer coach working with the Senior Team and Ability riders. He is originally from Pittsfield, Mass and has been snowboarding for about 12 years. Luke competed regionally with USASAand nationally for 6 years including US Opens and the 2007 Transworld Team Challenge. After moving to Steamboat in 2005, Luke worked as a rep for Nitro Snowboards untl he met some of the SSWSC kids and coaches.
He is an amazing snowboarder with an innate ability to connect and communicate with young riders. We are really lucky to have found Luke and have him in a full-time role for the 2008-2009 season. |
