SSWSC NORDIC PROGRAM
2007 USSA
NORDIC COMBINED/JUMPING PROGRAM OF THE YEAR
September 6, 2007
Dear SSWSC Nordic Program Family: Welcome to the 2007/2008 SSWSC Nordic Program! Each fall we organize two events to help with your Nordic equipment needs. First is our Equipment Exchange on Thursday, September 13th from 6:00 to 7:30PM, in Olympian Hall, at Howelsen Hill. This first session is for Nordic only and is a chance for everyone to clean out the garage and swap or sell Nordic equipment that you no longer need. It’s also a chance to pick up some great deals! Please bring any equipment that is in good shape to sell or swap. You will be responsible for labeling, pricing and selling your own equipment. Next, please mark Tuesday, September 18th from 5:00-9:00PM on your calendar for our Nordic Program Equipment and Uniform Ordering Session. This is the once-a-year chance to get reduced prices on new Nordic gear. We will be taking orders for the team uniforms, skis, boots, bindings, wax and poles. Note that this year all SSWSC disciplines are having this equipment ordering night on the same night and it will be held at the high school and not at Howelsen Hill. You must be a current member of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and U.S.S.A. to participate in the equipment sessions. Our team uniforms are made by local vendor BAP and include a warm up jacket, warm up or wind pants, hats, training shirt, sweatshirt and a vest. Also, you will have a chance to order new race uniforms. The entire team uniform is offered to everyone but not required. To encourage team spirit, we recommend that Development and older groups purchase, at a minimum, a jacket and a hat, and Cruisers, Mini & Little Vikings purchase a vest and a hat. There will be samples on site at the September 18th ordering session. Remember, if you purchased a uniform last year and it still fits, you do not need to buy another one as we plan on using the same uniform for a number of years. Coaches will be on hand to answer questions about equipment at both sessions. However, it would be best to discuss your athlete’s equipment needs with their respective coach before the ordering sessions so you know what you are looking for. Please don’t wait until the session to consider what your athlete will need as time with coaches may be limited during the equipment sessions. It is important that a credit card number be provided as a deposit at the ordering session if you intend to purchase equipment. Actual payment by check or credit card is only required once the equipment is received, however, some equipment may be sold at the ordering session. Again welcome to the Nordic Program! We look forward to a great season and seeing everyone at these two events. Sincerely, Todd Wilson
