Nordic Combined

The U16/U18 Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined teams capped off the 2016/17 winter season in a big way by taking a trip to Whistler, BC for Canadian National Championships!  Our athletes traveled to the site of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games to compete on the iconic jumps and trails.  It was a special opportunity also because our athletes got to tee off against many members of the U.S. and Canadian National teams!  This includes a number of World Cup and Continental Cup jumpers.

We had opportunities for 3 days of training beforehand, but we battled the weather for the first two.  Regardless, we still had ample training and were ready and stoked for the competitions on the weekend.  Everyone pulled out some great jumps for the final comp of the year!

After the competitions and the season were over, our team stuck around Whistler for a fun day of skiing at the infamous Whistler Blackcomb Resort! The athletes had a blast in the spring sunshine.  It was a perfect way to end a long and awesome season for these young athletes.
Congratulations to all of our J/NC athletes on their achievements this season!  See you this summer!!
