The U17/U19 Mogul Team has had quite a summer! With over 40 days of ramping, the athletes have been learning new tricks, perfecting old tricks, being inspired from more experienced teammates and inspiring less experienced ones. Every U17/U19 athlete worked on flipping this summer, with 5 athletes qualifying their flips on water and allowing them to flip on snow.
Carina Creamer, Izzy Powell, Katie Mcglaughlin and Anabel Ayad qualified back tucks while Megan Faherty and Anabel Ayad qualified front tucks.
Chris Stone spent his summer working on his full twisting back layout. With his numbers of jumps in the 300s, he’ll be skilled and confident enough to bring it to snow. Chris also completed his first triple back flip on the trampoline! Xander Tater-Brown worked his back fulls as well as his double fulls, cork 720s with position and cork 1080s, Ella Walker introduced the Venom and back X to her repertoire of tricks.
A big Shout Out to our CSCUSA All-Star Athletes, earned by ranking in the top of the Rocky Mountain Division, Anabel Ayad, Ella Walker and Carina Creamer.
With the cooler temperatures come the ramps closing and the athletes focused on strength and conditioning. And of course, ski season. All of the athletes are anxiously awaiting taking their new tricks to snow.
This weekend, Pam and Steve Williams of Glas Deffryn Ranch partnered with Corey Piscipo of Steamboat Velo to put together a ‘local’s race’ for kids under the age of 16 in leu of competitions being cancelled this summer. SSWSC was incredibly lucky to have 42 athletes participate. THANK YOU Pam, Steve, and Corey! Our athletes enjoyed the private trails, ‘wildlife’ and changing fall leaves!
