Telemark

Lyta Foulk finished off her injury-shortened 2015/2016 telemark campaign with three World Cup finishes in Rjukan, Norway and two in Mürren, Switzerland.  Her best finish was a 12th in a Telemark Sprint Race in Rjukan.  It was special to be part of the World Cup final in Switzerland.  There was some great racing and drama, and the crystal globes for the overall titles were given out at a dinner on top of the Alps at the Piz Gloria atop the Schilthorn.

Snowboarding

ROGLA, Slovenia (April 3, 2016) –Billy Winters (Steamboat Springs, CO) continued his FIS Junior World Championships success with a seventh-place finish in parallel slalom on Sunday. Winters also placed sixth in parallel giant slalom on Saturday and will compete again at Junior Worlds in snowboardcross April 4-6.

Despite the warm weather the course held up one more day. It was full on for the Team event with some great racing and a few crashes. A few riders left some skin behind in Berm #1. Hats off again to Rogla Ski Resort for hosting and putting on the PGS and SBX events for the FIS Junior Worlds. Billy Winters fought for a 6th place finish in Snowboardcross.  Billy had the 3 top finishes for USA in Slalom, Giant Slalom and Snowboardcross! Congrats!

Sequoia Anstine and Taylor Olson also had strong showings finishing in 10th and 11th place respectively, Alex Blair finished 30th. In the second of 2 races Trey Seymour came from second place after the first run to win the race! In the same race Chase Seymour was 9th, Kyler Armstrong was 24th and Colton Sankey was 27th. Alpine U12
The U12 group competed in their final GS race of the season at Beaver Creek last weekend and finished with stellar performances by all athletes who attended! The girls were just off the pace of the top skiers of the weekend, pushing their limits in spring snow conditions.  Speedy Richeda brought home a Top-10 finish for the boys on his final run of the weekend, making a rough track look smooth as butter!  The U12 crew is looking to carry this momentum to their final SL race of the season at the Loveland Derby next weekend.
