Deb Armstrong |
| Alpine Competitive Program Director | |
Deb was employed by the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation in the Ski and Snowboard School during the past winter season. She is a two time Olympian, 1984 and 1988 and won a Gold Medal at the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo in Giant Slalom. Over the past 20 years Deb has remained relevant and influencial in the ski industry. Deb's involvement has bridged the best of what the racing and instructional worlds bring to the slopes. In the racing world Deb has been a guest coach for a number of the USSA National Development System Camps (NDS) and was the Assistant Coach for the University of New Mexico Ski Team. She also has been a part of the USSA Coaching Certification program conducting Cerification exams for USSA and its coaches. From the ski instruction standpoint she is a PSIA examiner, a member of the PSIA Alpine Team (Demonstration Team), one of 13 members nationally and most recently has been the Technical Director for the Steamboat Ski and Snowboard School. Prior to that she was a member of the U.S. Ski Team from 1981 to 1988. Deb grew up in the Pacific Northwest where she was an avid racer, skiing to a US Junior Olympic Championship GS Title, National Champion GS Title, and is an inductee in the National Ski Hall of Fame. |

Anje Worrell |
| Assistant Program Director-Alpine Head Coach | |
Anje started skiing at age 2, started coaching in 1992, and is in her 16th year of coaching. She coached at SSWSC from 1995-1999, then returned to SSWSC in 2006, to later assume the Alpine Program Director position. She has coached men and women at all levels at Bridger Ski Foundation, SSWSC, Team Summit, private coach, and Crested Butte Academy. Anje has also directed summer ski racing camps in Europe and North America since 1998, is a level 300 USSA coach, and certified referee. She also serves as an active member of the R/C Alpine Sport Committee, as well as the Selection working group & Ability class committees for Rocky Mountain Division. Anje loves skiing and hopes to instill a life long love for the sport to all the athletes she coaches. Anje, along with her husband Rob, a SSWSC Alumni, & U.S. Ski Team coach, has two sons, Zane and Cody. |

Blair Seymour |
| Development Director | |
Blair grew up in Minnesota as a competitive figure skater and
enjoyed skiing through her youth. Blair moved to Steamboat in 1992
and taught skiing with the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp for 7 years.
She started her career with SSWSC as a Buddy Werner League coach
in 1992. She took a few years off to have three beautiful
blonde boys; Jett 8, Chase & Trey 6 with her husband, John. In
her free time she enjoys alpine & skate skiing, mt. biking, running,
knitting and helping in her boys' classrooms. |
| Peter Anderson | |
| Men's Ability Coach | |
| Peter is entering his second year at SSWSC and will be working with the Men's Ability Team. Peter is a recent graduate of Dartmouth College with a degree in philosophy and was also a member of the Dartmouth Ski Team for three years. Prior to school, Peter competed at the Nor-Am level and was on the U.S. Development team for two years. |
| Scott Tanner | |
| Scott is entering his third season with the SSWSC. He has a long and succesful track record in ski coaching from Summit County where he helped to develop several strong Nor-Am level racers. Scott heads up the Nor-Am group and will do the bulk of the travelling for the Ability Class track. Scott is a proven coach, and the SSWSC is lucky to have him on staff. |

Dusty Matheson |
| Women's Ability Coach | |
Dusty Matheson, hails from Wyoming, where she
began coaching in 1999. A coaching opportunity at the Loveland
race program brought her to Colorado, and after 3 years there
she joined the staff of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and
is currently in her 5th season. After coaching at the J3 level
for the past 4 years, she has moved on to work with the Women's
Ability Program.
Dusty was a top level FIS and Nor-Am competitor up until she traded
her competition license for a coaching license. Since then,
she spends most of her free time on the mountain free skiing and when
the snow melts she will follow it to the river. Her true passion
is working with young athletes helping them to succeed in their own
lives.

Marnie Smith |
| Head J3 Coach | |
Marnie is rolling into her 4th year of coaching with
SSWSC. She has coached at the J3 level since 2000 where she
was a Head J3 coach at eldora.
She started skiing when she was 22 months and racing at 4 in NH
then moved to OR where she continued a long racing career at Mt. Hood
academy and then GMVS.
Marnie is a level 200 USSA coach, certified referee, certified
mat pilates instructor, certified EMT, certified OEC and is working
towards becoming a member of the Steamboat Fire Dept. Her philosophy
is to blend fun, hard work, success and share her love of skiing with
her athletes. |
| Ryan Roberts | |
| J3 Coach | |
Ryan is a Steamboat native and he and his siblings, Drew and Tina, spent K-12+ as members of the SSWSC. He recently graduated from the University of Denver with a BSBA in Finance/Marketing, and now returns home to be a first year coach at the J3 level. Through many early mornings and long trips the SSWSC helped engrain many life-long lessons into his daily routine, like hard work, responsibility, time-management, and organization, and now Ryan looks to help the present athletes and future Olympians of Steamboat maintain the love for the sport and enthusiasm that he shares and learn to succeed in all aspects and at all levels in life. |

Lindsay Mann |
| J3 Coach | |
Lindsay Mann is a recent graduate of Dartmouth College where she
earned a B.A. in Earth Science and Environmental Studies. While at
Dartmouth she was a member of the ski team and this past year helped
her team to an NCAA title by winning the second run of the slalom.
She was also the 2007 EISA slalom champion, First Team all East, First
Team All American, and Academic American as well. She grew up ski
racing in New Hampshire and is a GMVS alumni. |

Luke Brosterhaus |
| Head Age Class Coach | |
| Luke Brosterhous is a 2001 graduate of the University of Oregon where he studied philosophy. He played golf and ski raced competitively while growing up Southern Oregon. He is currently pursuing a post-graduate degree in Sports Psychology at the University of Utah, and is in his last semester of course work this fall. Luke coached for the Winter Sports Club from 2001-2004, before spending 2 years playing Professional Golf full-time. In 2006 Luke spent 5 months (April-August) in the Kingdom of Bhutan as the guest coach for the Bhutan Youth Golf Association. Luke enjoys backcountry skiing, and cycling when not on the hill coaching skiing or on the range teaching golf. Luke is very happy to once again call Steamboat home. | |
